The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25 is also known as Orange Day.
The color orange has been chosen since 2014, at the initiative of the UN, as a symbol of hope for a better future for women and girls.
Last year, the UN Women France committee awarded the title of “Orange Day Champion 2017” to the city of Nice, recognizing the actions it has implemented in favor of women’s rights, gender equality, and the fight against violence against women.
