Pop Up Étoile: Encouraging Entrepreneurship in Nice

On the first floor of Nicetoile, this Monday, the inauguration of a pop-up store took place. It will be open for 5 months, hosting different local merchants.

The Initiative Nice Côte d’Azur association is behind this project in partnership with the Nicetoile center. For 20 years, it has been supporting Nice entrepreneurs in realizing their professional projects in the region. It consists of business leaders, insurers, communicators, and volunteers, each playing a role in the sponsorship and financing process.

After studying the entrepreneur’s project, the jury deliberates and decides whether or not to grant an interest-free loan to give a boost. For the second consecutive year, the association is partnering with the shopping center to offer a unique experience to sponsored merchants: running a shop for two weeks.

In the “pop up store”, businesses rotate over 5 months, allowing them to anticipate and acquire the rigor and responsibilities needed to run a store. According to the association’s president, Valérie Ammirati, the goal is also “to reinvigorate and energize the city center.” In addition to financing (public/private), the association assigns a team of coaches for entrepreneur training in a very human atmosphere.

For the first wave of merchants, you will be able to discover the macarons from Mic Mac and products from the Wakey Cosmétiques brand.
