Critical care services (resuscitation, intensive care, and continuous monitoring) are also feeling more pressure. 868 patients are hospitalized there, compared to 914 last Thursday. While there were 36 new admissions a week ago, this Thursday there are 59 new admissions.
The total number of hospital deaths due to Covid-19 reached 85,063 deaths this Thursday. This Wednesday, 21,909 new cases were reported. We have to go back to mid-May to find such levels.
Vaccination, on the other hand, continues. 830,415 injections have been administered in the last 24 hours, including 441,066 first doses. In total, 39,028,057 people have received a first dose (57.9% of the total population), and 32,280,960 French people are fully vaccinated (47.9% of the population).
