The pressure on hospitals is increasing again this Wednesday. 7,208 patients suffering from Covid-19 were hospitalized, a higher number compared to the previous day (7,137). Among them, 490 people were admitted to the hospital in the past 24 hours.

The number of people in intensive care is also on the rise. 992 patients were in intensive care this Wednesday, compared to 978 on Tuesday. 91 people were admitted in the last 24 hours. Additionally, 40 people have died, bringing the total death toll since the beginning of the epidemic to 85,225 in French hospitals.

27,934 new cases have also been detected in the last 24 hours.

As for vaccination, 41,188,399 people have received at least one injection (accounting for 61.1% of the total population), and 34,403,826 people now have a complete vaccination schedule (accounting for 51% of the total population) since the start of the vaccination campaign in France. 765,697 people received their first or second dose of the vaccine this Wednesday.
