Two final quality opponents before starting the championship.
OGC Nice was supposed to begin its summer preparation with a match against Lausanne Sport this Saturday. However, due to the poor condition of the training center’s pitch, where the match was scheduled to take place, the game was canceled.
Nevertheless, the Gym’s other friendly matches are still confirmed. As planned, the eaglets will host the Belgian team Cercle Bruges on July 9th before heading to Portugal on the 14th.
There, Nice will first face SL Benfica, a Champions League quarter-finalist and second in the Portuguese championship. The next day, Lucien Favre’s men will play Fulham FC, the recent Championship (English Division 2) champion, promoted to the Premier League.
During this tour in Portugal, two additional matches were to be played by OGC Nice on July 20th and 23rd. These opponents were initially unknown, but the club from the French Riviera revealed them on its social media.
These are two Italian teams that the Gym will face: the recent European champion with its victory in the Conference League, AS Roma, coached by Josรฉ Mourinho, and the other club from Turin, Torino. Subscribers will be invited to this last friendly match of the summer.
