MotoGP (Styrian Grand Prix): another podium for Fabio Quartararo

Latest News

Out of the running for the victory, Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha Factory) still secured another podium on Sunday at Spielberg, along with a significant points advantage over his rivals, Johann Zarco leading among them. It was far from obvious at the start on a Ducati-favorable track, but the third place for the Nice native almost feels like a win.

“Mission accomplished,” commented Fabio Quartararo after the race. The Nice native marked his seventh podium of the season on Sunday at the Styrian GP, opening the doors to the world championship title even wider. “The best possible goal was to finish on the podium and we achieved it,” rejoiced the Yamaha Factory rider in the arrival area. “Iโ€™m very happy with this race. A podium here is very important.”

“We lack power on this circuit, but ultimately our three Ducati competitors finished behind (Zarco 6th, Bagnaia 11th, Miller, DNF),” noted the satisfied Nice native.

Confident and dazzling since the start of the season, the little prince of MotoGP already has what it takes to be a world champion. Every weekend confirms it a bit more.
