Hospitals still under pressure

Latest News

If the epidemic peak seems to have passed, with a slight drop in the incidence rate at the national level in recent days, hospitals continue to accommodate more and more Covid-19 patients. The latest figures from Public Health France, published this Monday, report an increase in the number of hospitalizations and in critical care services: 11,007 patients are currently hospitalized due to a Covid-19 infection.

This is 356,856 more than a week ago, last Monday (10,151). 943 new admissions (excluding returns home) have been recorded in the last 24 hours.

In critical care services (intensive care, intensive monitoring, and continuous surveillance), the pressure remains strong and the number of patients keeps increasing. 2,215 people are hospitalized there this Monday, compared to 1,908 seven days ago. 235 new patients have been admitted in the last 24 hours.

There have been 108 deaths in the last 24 hours, compared to 97 a week ago.

Vaccination, meanwhile, continues. 47,620,552 people have received at least one injection (70.6% of the total population) and 41,637,794 people now have a complete vaccination schedule (61.8% of the total population).
