On the occasion of this event, the city of Nice is once again renewing its participation in the World Cleanup Day for the fourth time. It will take place today, Saturday, September 18 at 9 AM right in front of the #ILOVENICE.
If the city of Nice is known for something, it’s the various events planned within the metropolis. This year, the World Clean Up Day will be held in compliance with health regulations, but more importantly, with the sole aim of enhancing the city’s cleanliness and ecology.
Since 2018, the event in question has been gaining more and more ground in terms of popularity. The year 2019, in particular, brought together nearly 265,000 eco-citizens in France who cleaned up and collected more than 660 tons of waste. 440 volunteers responded in 2020 in Nice to participate in a World Clean Up Day. 635 kg of waste and 110,000 cigarette butts were collected.
