The Opera Comes to the West End Hotel

Latest News

An opera piece echoes every other Friday at the restaurant Le Siรจcle of the Hรดtel West End.

From October 28th until spring, the famous Opera evenings are back every other Friday, with special performances for New Year’s and Valentine’s Day. It is the perfect opportunity to enjoy beautiful opera melodies performed by two artists from the Cรดte d’Azur: Laurie Jauffret, a soprano opera singer graduated from the Conservatoire National de Nice, and Gilles San Juan, a tenor of the Nice Opera also seen in the eighth season of the show The Voice.

During a meal…

At the foot of the Hรดtel West End, the restaurant Le Siรจcle offers Mediterranean cuisine where you can enjoy the delicious dishes of Cyril Breteau, the head chef. The products are carefully selected, emphasizing organic and local resources.

You will be as delighted by their starters as by their selection of meats and fish. Can you resist a sweet touch? Then let yourself be tempted by their specialty, Crรชpes Suzette Flambรฉe, prepared right in front of your eyes.

…resonate with opera airs

This concept, inspired by the Parisian restaurant Bel Canto, is your unique rendezvous on the Cรดte d’Azur, blending gastronomy and opera.

Among the servers, the opera singers begin their service alongside them. Once the first dishes are served, opera takes over the venue, much to the surprise of the guests. The greatest opera pieces are performed, including works by Mozart, Bizet, Offenbach, and Rossini.

The interactive artists sing alongside the clients, adding a theatrical aspect. They convey their passion and the joy of sharing it with you during this evening.

Laurie Jauffret, a professional singer for ten years, found her voice after studying in the banking sector. What she appreciates about the evenings at the Hรดtel West End is the originality and less solemn aspect: “We approach a clientele that doesn’t necessarily go to the opera and discovers that they quite enjoy it.”

Mission accomplished, the guests are captivated, and passersby on the Promenade des Anglais, intrigued, watch through the window.

Hรดtel West End

The Hรดtel West End, with its baroque style, is the ideal setting for hosting these Opera evenings.

This historic establishment in Nice was the first hotel built on the Promenade des Anglais in 1842, celebrating its 180th anniversary this year. Subtle touches of modernity blend with rare 19th-century artworks and carpets printed with ancient Niรงois patterns. Most of its 121 rooms offer a panoramic view of the entire Bay of Angels.

Reservations are mandatory at 04 92 14 44 09 or on the website.
