A search that already has consequences.
This Friday, April 21, Nice-Matin announced that Nice City Hall had been searched in the morning. The newspaper informs us that it was the office of the Director General of Services that was targeted by the investigators.
This action follows the detection of several “accounting anomalies” by the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur during several internal audits. Certain construction sites or operations in the Tinée and Vésubie valleys were reportedly pointed out.
As a result, the NCA Métropole announced that it had taken “precautionary measures of suspension of agents” and reported to the Nice prosecutor Xavier Bonhomme, in accordance with article 40 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (which requires it to report any potential crime or offense as soon as it becomes aware of it). 21 employees were reportedly targeted by sanctions.
