The City of Nice is launching a call for projects to open a new grocery store aimed at students, until November 12, 2021. Indeed, during the last city council meeting, the city voted for the opening of a new solidarity grocery store.
Growing Student Precarity
After two particularly difficult years for students due to the health crisis, INSEE reveals that 20% of them live below the poverty line. It is therefore to address this issue that FACE 06 aims to strengthen its solidarity with students.
FACE 06 Already a Candidate
Involved in the fight against student precarity, FACE 06, which recently celebrated the ten-year anniversary of AGORAé, wants to go even further with the opening of a second grocery store. The project of a truck distributing food daily to the less well-served campuses is currently being studied. Indeed, the campuses of Menton, Sophia-Antipolis, and Cannes are more remote, making it more difficult for students to access the AGORAé located in downtown Nice.
