The Nice Carnival is one of the most significant in the world, behind Rio de Janeiro and Venice. Every year, hundreds of thousands of spectators come from all corners of the globe to witness the spectacle. This year again, the event has managed to innovate and is launching the election of Counts and Countesses.
For the 2022 edition, the city of Nice has decided to partner with Kiss International Productions (an association specialized in charity, social, humanitarian, and cultural events) to organize the elections of Counts and Countesses of the six territories of Nice. Once elected, they will participate in the final election of the King and Queen of the Nice Carnival 2022 “King of the Animals.”
The elected Counts and Countesses will thus become ambassadors of their respective territories and will participate in various ceremonies and cultural events during their year of reign. An original and innovative way to showcase the neighborhoods and heritage of Nice.
Two candidates per territory (1 man and 1 woman) will be selected at each evening event. Then they will participate in the final election of the King and Queen of the Carnival, which will take place at the Nice Opera House on Monday, February 7.
