The costume featured in the Netflix series is all the rage this Halloween season
As Halloween approaches, the costumes that will be worn on the night of October 31 will, as usual, be linked to current cinematographic trends.
This year, it’s the series Squid Game that is at the center of the craze. The Korean series, released in September, has become the biggest launch in Netflix history with 111 million views in less than a month.
It features a game where heavily indebted contestants compete in children’s games to win billions and thus pay off their debts. Throughout the series, the game is supervised by henchmen, masked in red costumes. It is this costume that we will surely see on every street corner on Halloween night.
The Nice costume shop “Festival”, located at 11 rue du Lycée, has capitalized on the frenzy and is selling the costumes and masks from the series. The store reports selling up to thirty complete outfits per day.
We can therefore expect the residents of Nice to not show any snobbery and to don the squid game outfit tomorrow.
