Covid-19: Renaud Muselier proposes making tests free between the two vaccine injections

Latest News

The president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region is asking Health Minister Olivier Véran to make Covid-19 testing free for individuals “on the path to vaccination.”

In this letter shared with the media, the former LR president of the Paca region “proposes making daily testing free for all those who have chosen to embark on the path to vaccination,” specifically “between their first dose and their second dose.”

Renaud Muselier explains that the cost of tests during the five weeks separating the two injections can reach “up to 900 euros.” The choice to get vaccinated should be supported.

He uses the example of unvaccinated workers in the ski and mountain sector, in particular, and young seasonal workers not yet vaccinated “who cannot afford to pay such an amount” between the first dose and the booster.

The Marseille-based representative wants to provide support to the mountain sector “after the two dark seasons experienced” by the resorts and mountain towns in the region.
