The annual Cavigal gala brought together nearly 500 participants (athletes and leaders, partners, friends, and past members) in a palace on the promenade in the presence of authorities representing local governments, always in search of notoriety and electoral recognition.
It is true that without their substantial subsidies—as President Diego Noto acknowledged in his thanks—life wouldn’t be so “rosy”!
However, if Cavigal has been a significant player since its founding in 1943 in the city’s sports life, having produced accomplished athletes and several champions in various disciplines, how can we forget its social role in educating young people to help them integrate into society with positive values, such as sharing, respect, and commitment?
It is this action, marked by the dedication of its educators and leaders, that Diego Noto highlighted in his speech: “to give the best of oneself for the good of all” is the happy synthesis that well expresses the mission of this multisport club.
