Until June 30, come and discover the immersive Escape Game offered by the Nice Opera. Immerse yourself in one of the greatest romantic myths: that of Romeo and Juliet.
For the 2023/2024 season, the Villa des Lรฉgendes, in co-production with the 8th Alchemy Company, offers in collaboration with the Nice Opera, a new immersive Escape Game at the heart of the Opera. Following the themes of the Phantom of the Opera and Dracula in previous years, the Nice Opera presents its third edition. This edition is centered around the famous book by Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet.
At the request of Bertrand Rossi, director of the Nice Opera, Aurรฉlia Beraldo and Florian Riffard co-wrote and imagined this unique Escape Game in Nice together with the Villa des Lรฉgendes and the 8th Alchemy Company. Combining literary, mathematical, and sensory puzzles, the game will transport you to the heart of the Renaissance, during the time of Romeo and Juliet.
An Escape Game but also an immersive show
Only 1 hour 20 minutes will be granted to you to help the two famous lovers. In groups of ten, you will take on the role of one of the two great Veronese families: the Montagues or the Capulets. Throughout the game, you will have to solve a large number of puzzles. You will also need to succeed in various challenges to save Romeo and Juliet from their fatal destiny.
To achieve this, the two families will need to gather the four primary elements: water, earth, air, and fire. These elements must be surrounded by a fifth element: the love of the two protagonists. Throughout the journey, you will have the opportunity to interact with characters played by professional actors. They will help you gather the four elements.
The Escape Game will immerse you in an immersive show where puzzles and performance merge, offering an experience that combines theater, dance, and sword fighting. The music, costumes, and sets will take you back in time. Will you be able to recreate the alchemy? Protect them! Protect yourselvesโฆ
