A protest against dealers in Nice

Latest News

On the afternoon of September 23rd, on Pierre Gautier square, the members of the Reconquest party gathered to protest against drug dealers.

At 5 PM, the president of the โ€œRetrouver Niceโ€ group, Philippe Vardon, and Jean Moucheboeuf, head of ร‰ric Zemmourโ€™s party in the Alpes-Maritimes, gathered about fifty people in Old Nice, in front of the Palace of the Sardinian Kings, to combat drug trafficking. During this gathering, the points of the anti-drug plan mentioned by Marion Marรฉchal Le Pen during her last visit to Marseille on September 20th were reiterated.

The day before, the Alpes-Maritimes prefecture issued an order authorizing โ€œthe capture, recording, and transmission of images using cameras installed on aircraftโ€ above Las Planas, a district located in the north of Nice, until October 20th.

โ€œOur city is unfortunately following the same path as Marseilleโ€

The slogans โ€œDroga Basta!โ€ and โ€œNo quarter for dealers, no dealers in our neighborhoods!โ€ are held up by the movementโ€™s supporters. Philippe Vardon once again dares to compare with Marseille. For him, Nice is heading towards the same situation as the Phocaean city, due to the insecurity and danger posed by drug trafficking networks, which he believes are growing in the city’s popular districts as well as in the city center.

โ€œOur city is unfortunately following the same path as Marseille. For years, Iโ€™ve been denouncing the decline of our city,โ€ he exclaims.
