Friendship and benevolence, these are the words that bring together associations and volunteers on June 9th and 10th at the Jorge François forum in Nice. A Niçoise cuisine contest, a raffle, and a solidarity lunch will be organized to raise funds for the association “Tous avec Hugo.”
An exceptional jury will be present to select the grand winner of the contest, and many dishes prepared by Chef Philippe Boucher will be served.
Jean-Luc Gagliolo will preside over the jury, accompanied by Franck Viano, who was the creator of Nice-Premium.com before returning to his passion for culinary art.
The contest will be presented in bilingual French-English, and the events will take place in two parts.
Associations such as “SOS Breast Cancer” and “The League Against Cancer” will participate in the activities over both days and offer their support.
The event will be free for all, except for participants in Friday’s meal and the raffle. Numerous prizes and a festive atmosphere can be discovered among several Niçoise stands. The famous “Socca chips,” the savory “Socca Bièra,” and many other southern specialties will be available to taste.
Humor and lightheartedness will be present, and some contestants like “Framboise des champs,” a volunteer for the association “Tous avec Hugo,” will not miss the opportunity to practice her passion: “I am doing this contest especially because I love cooking. I have been passionate about it for 30 years, and it represents a moment of sharing and pleasure for me.”
In a warm and jovial ambiance, the Niçoise language will be presented by French and theater teachers. This gathering represents, for all the participants, a heritage event of the region in the service of a noble cause.
