After last week’s crushing defeat against Besançon, the women from Nice are unable to reconnect with victory. This 23rd day of the Ligue Butagaz Energie was expected to be difficult for the women from Nice. The Neptunes de Nantes are in 3rd place in the rankings compared to a 9th place for the team from the French Riviera. To top it off, the match is being played away.
Hope was short-lived
But Clément Alcacer’s players fought hard. The first half was close with a score of 18 to 15 in favor of the Nantes team at halftime. Yet hopes were quickly dashed by the team of Thomsen Helle. Nice cannot catch up, and the gap widens. The final score is 36 to 27 for Nantes.
