This Thursday, May 16, marked the award ceremony for the 15th 2023 Health Project Call and the exceptional “Albert Calmette” Health Project Call.
On Thursday, May 16, 2024, Charles Ange Ginรฉsy, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Department, presented the awards for the 15th 2023 Health Project Call and the exceptional “Albert Calmette” Health Project Call.
The Alpes-Maritimes Department supports Maralpine innovations and contributes financial aid to various research institutes. The department aims to contribute to the improvement of health, its management, and the development of prevention. “In total, 14 projects have been rewarded. For this edition, the Department dedicated โฌ3.3 million in aid to finance structuring projects. Over the past 15 years, the Departmental Council has supported nearly 300 projects with โฌ40 million in investments,” adds Charles Ange Ginรฉsy.
The 11 Maralpine Laureates
As part of this 15th Health Project Call, the 11 laureates were distinguished by the jury for their innovative projects in three areas:
- Screening and treatment of cancer, including childhood cancers. For INSERM, the Nice University Hospital (CHU), and the Antoine Lacassagne Center
- Neurodegenerative diseases and disability (loss of autonomy, rare and orphan diseases, or Alzheimer’s disease). With the Les Sources Geriatric Hospital, UGECAM PACA and Corsica, and the ORSAC Mont-Fleuri Clinic
- New digital health and Artificial Intelligence technologies in service of health, to better assist clinicians and researchers in areas such as oncology and loss of autonomy.
