The last home game for OGC Nice handball takes place against Mérignac. The match was close until the end and concluded with a draw.

This 25th and penultimate day of the Ligue Butagaz Energie sees Nice face, for their last home game, Mérignac Handball. Mérignac is a bottom-table team that is not supposed to trouble OGC Nice, who are the clear favorites in this match. The Aiglonnes surely aim to finish this season at home by bringing victory in front of their fans. However, the Mérignac players have a different opinion.

Mérignac tougher than expected

The match begins strongly with the Aiglonnes shining in front of their audience. But surprisingly, Mérignac holds on. So much so that they lead the score at halftime with a score of 19 to 17 in favor of Mérignac. This trend continues, with the Niçoises trailing behind Mérignac in an effort to catch up. It is only at the end that OGC Nice Handball manages to pull even, ending the game with a score of 34 all.

The next and final match will take place away for the Niçoises, as they face St Amand Handball – Porte du Hainaut on May 25th at 8 pm.
