EXPRESSIONS: An exhibition presented by Audrey Bollaro

The students of the village school participated in an art workshop on the theme of love. The exhibition and the workshop are related to the Patron Saint, Valentine’s Day, and the fact that there is a need for love in this world. Through this artistic work, the schoolchildren continued painting.

“The art of painting is just the art of expressing the invisible through the visible,” wrote Eugรจne Fromentin.

The very essence of the works for the painter who places on their canvases their views and hopes for the pleasure of expressing themselves freely.

A design with clear and refined lines, without giving up vivid colors, to express emotions as they come and paint feelings that overwhelm us.

Life is also about sharing what touches us and sometimes trying to understand what eludes us.

Creations that invite feelings to be shared. A freedom of “EXPRESSIONS”.

Why choose these forms of expression?

Until last year and still today, I expressed myself through writing and photography via published press articles. For example, in La Lettre du Paillon, a weekly local information bulletin. By taking up the pencil and brush, I turned towards a means of expression that I wanted colorful and refined, approaching minimalism. Saying a lot with little, often cheerful, feelings. “Simplicity is the essence of happiness,” wrote Cรฉdric Bledsoe. The art of the essential…

When did you start painting?

I have been drawing since I was a child without taking any drawing lessons. My skill in this art is a heritage from my godmother. And I think I have passed it on to my niece, Hรฉloรฏse, who is 7 years old. For a long time, I set aside my pencil, and then, in March 2016, during a hike in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin with my friends, we visited an abstract art gallery. A friend fell in love with one of the works. When I returned home, I stopped at Auchan to buy materials to create an artistic representation of her. And from that moment on, I haven’t stopped painting, blending abstract and realism but always with minimalism. Having a particular fondness for the graphic design of arts like dance or music.

Where have you already exhibited?

My first exhibition took place in Blausasc, thanks to Nadรจge Massรฉ, a municipal councilor. I later presented a series on the theme of the July 14, 2016, attack in Nice, at the National Theater of Nice during the “Nice & Love” event in October 2016.

What are your projects?

I am working on a new project that connects celebrities to my works, but I won’t say more until it’s completely finished. In June 2017, I will exhibit at the presbytery galleries in Berre-les-Alpes and in January/February 2018 at the Forum Jorge-Franรงois in Nice.
