Wednesday, May 22, 2024, marked the International Day for Biological Diversity. Nice highlighted this day on the Promenade du Paillon.
On this International Day for Biological Diversity, several stands and workshops were set up on the Promenade du Paillon in Nice to raise awareness among citizens about the wealth of plant and animal species on Earth.
There was an exhibition on-site describing the diversity of living beings and ecosystems on Earth, featuring different photographs showing fauna, flora, fungi, bacteria, and various land or marine animals. Some stands offered interactive workshops to educate both young and old about the nature surrounding us and how to preserve it, such as the aromatic plant workshop, ecological action workshop, or a workshop teaching how to recycle waste (sorting, compost, glass, etc.).
