In a frenzied atmosphere, welcomed by a hundred supporters, the Nice players arrived at Villa Masséna this Wednesday. Crowned champion of France, Stade Niçois is moving up to Pro D2 for the next season. With its 850 members and a certified training center, Stade Niçois shone as the best offense and defense in the championship. This success is the result of the commitment and passion of the players, supporters, and the entire club.

A Historic Event

This event marks a historic turning point for the club. Indeed, the team is “forever the first to reach Pro D2, you played magnificent rugby and brought immense love to our city,” said Régis Brandinelli, the club president. Christian Estrosi emphasized the importance of this title: “You are finally back among the professional rugby elite, among the 30 best French clubs.”

Additionally, to allow the club to evolve among the best in France, the mayor of Nice announced during the ceremony the future creation of a stadium specifically designed for the club. “Rugby must have a significant place in Nice. We deserve a stadium worthy of the name to host more supporters,” declared Christian Estrosi, closing the ceremony.
