The Smart City in the Service of the Safe City

Latest News

On the occasion of the Innovative City exhibition, Christian Estrosi announced a project in collaboration with ENGIE Ineo to make the capital of the Cรดte d’Azur the first “Safe City” in France.

Technological advancements aim to address the new security challenges faced by major metropolitan areas across France.

ENGIE Ineo will test an unprecedented comprehensive security solution in Nice: a control and command center based on a tactile and tactical table “DECIDE” and the SenCity platform.

The gradual development of this system aims to provide, particularly for police authorities, a tactical and tactile platform to ensure global coordination in real-time.

ENGIE Ineo has developed an innovative system, offering a comprehensive real-time view of the situation and providing significant remote coordination capabilities.

It allows decision-makers to visualize the city’s map and its events in real-time, while also providing the capability to coordinate teams present on the ground.

By relying on local resources and all the data collected by the SenCity meta-platform (cameras, retractable bollards, traffic lights, alert buttons, building access controls), this system revolutionizes the security solutions available to decision-makers.

According to the schedule established between the City of Nice and ENGIE Ineo, based on Nice events (August 15th, Christmas Market, Carnivalโ€ฆ), new functionalities will be delivered, built from use cases thoughtfully considered collectively.

The experiment, conducted until February 2018, aims to allow the daily use of this innovative solution by all the professional departments of the city of Nice and the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis.
