The European elections are approaching; indeed, on June 9, the people of Nice will be called to the polls to make their voices heard. Here are the rules to follow for this event.
On June 9, 2024, the French will be called to the polls for the European elections. In Nice, 256 polling stations will be available to you. A decree dated December 29, 2023, sets out new rules, applicable only for these elections. What are they?
New rules
The ballots will be distributed equitably according to the number of polling stations. This means that there will not be the same number of ballots for everyone. For these elections, you will have the opportunity to print your own ballots. They must be printed in A4 landscape format. The validity of a ballot that can be printed by the voter applies to the lists that have not provided any.
As for proxy voting, it can be done in paper format by visiting one of the police stations in the city. Or online by going to the government website, and then certifying your identity at one of the municipal offices in the city using the collection system. It will be possible to use the full dematerialization procedure provided you have a new format identity card.
If you don’t have your voter card with you, don’t worry, you just need to present a piece of identification.
Remember, the polling stations will be open from 8 AM to 8 PM.
