Committed to a policy in favor of sustainable development and environmental preservation, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis has supported the “Ecogestes Méditerranée” campaign since 2011.
This campaign works for the preservation of the sea and the coastline through awareness-raising actions aimed at sea users. It mobilizes numerous environmental education structures and site managers along the coasts to directly educate boaters at sea: from Cap d’Ail in the Alpes-Maritimes to the Camargue in the Bouches du Rhône.
The objective is to promote practical and ecological actions to preserve the Mediterranean. Ambassadors organize sea outings throughout the summer to discuss with boaters their practices and the actions to adopt for more “sustainable” boating.
