Every year at the Forum Jorge Franรงois, the Nice municipality, the Salvation Army, and OGC Nice join forces to organize the Solidarity Christmas, a convivial event aimed at people in precarious situations.
200 people in precarious situations were invited to a Christmas dinner on the evening of Tuesday, December 12. These are mainly homeless individuals and families. The Salvation Army distributed invitations to its most faithful regulars and also to those who frequent the accommodation centers managed by the CCAS.
The goal of the event is to offer individuals in extreme poverty and without stable housing a festive evening in a warm and friendly setting. For this, a festive menu was crafted by the chef of the Forum Jorge Franรงois and his team. On the menu: a mint salmon salad, confit duck leg with gratin dauphinois, and traditional Christmas yule logs for dinner.
A group of fifty volunteers from the CCAS, the Salvation Army, the Lรฉo Club, and OGC Nice served these 200 guests for the evening at the Forum Jorge Franรงois. The solidarity restaurant section of this cultural and social space located in the heart of Nice serves meals to people in need every weekday from Monday to Friday.

All wearing a Christmas hat given to them at the entrance, they enjoyed a festive meal with music. The band ShakinโMamas entertained the evening, adding a bit more comfort and warmth.
The young hopefuls from the OGC Nice training center and Stรฉphane Collet, former OGC Nice player, placed games and toys under the tree for the children. The Aiglons participated as part of the Calรจna Tour, OGC Nice’s solidarity program.
The athletes helped with serving the meal. Adults also received gifts: Christmas cookies and tickets to attend the Christmas match between OGC Nice and RC Lens on Wednesday, December 20.
Exchange, solidarity, and good humor made this evening a success. It will leave a memorable impression on everyone, both the volunteers and the guests.
