This Sunday at noon in front of the Palais de Justice, the association “GREEN- Group for Environmental Responsibility and Nature Education” is organizing a demonstration to denounce the killing of three wolf pups that were shot last week in the municipality of Cipières, as well as the deception of the official position of the ONCFS.
The focus is on the method used for this culling, as “the wolf pups, barely a few months old, were perfectly harmless and not capable of attacking any flock.”
For the activists, “this indeed amounts to a reinforced defense shot, only authorized in cases of an attack on a flock.”
They want to alert the European Commission, which, in their opinion, should initiate infringement proceedings against France for failing to protect a protected species, as well as the public prosecutor in Grasse to bring charges against those who ordered the killing of these wolf pups.
