Football: Nice’s Christophe Jallet called up to the French national team

The new recruit of OGC Nice, Christophe Jallet, is included in the group of 24 players selected by Didier Deschamps for the two upcoming World Cup 2018 qualifying matches.

Starting in the last two appearances (against Guingamp and then Naples), Christophe Jallet has been called up for the next gathering of the French national team, which will face the Netherlands and then Luxembourg as part of the qualifying matches for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

He is the first player from OGC Nice to be called to the French team since Hatem Ben Arfa, who played in the friendly matches against Germany and England in November 2015, before being part of the preliminary squad for the Euro.

The experienced full-back has, to date, 14 caps โ€“

The youth teams will also be active during this international break. After a friendly match against Chile, they will begin their qualifiers for their category’s Euro 2019 against Kazakhstan on September 5 in Le Mans.

Matches which will see young players Malang Sarr (18 years old) and Allan Saint-Maximin (20 years old) involved, called by coach Sylvain Ripoll. The defender, trained at OGC Nice, will even be the youngest member of the squad.
