We asked Odile Menozzi, president of the European Movement 006, to kindly illustrate the benefits of this initiative that will take place this evening at 6 PM at the CUM:
“As you know, terrorism is one of the main dangers faced by the countries of Europe and the Mediterranean Basin, not only because of its destructive and deadly intent but also due to its direct and indirect effects such as population displacement or economic impact.
It has become imperative for the Euromed Cities Network to structure an action plan for cities to support the prevention of radicalization in Europe and the Mediterranean.
Considering that the city is the relevant territorial level for the prevention of radicalization, the Euromed Cities Network has proposed holding a Euro-Mediterranean cities conference, attended especially by the European Commissioner responsible for the Security Union and the Union for the Mediterranean.”
