The Fortnight “of the” Theaters has its roots in the theatrical panorama of Nice.

This year, the Theatre Fortnight is celebrating its third edition.

Year after year, the program is becoming more structured and enriched, aiming to satisfy both the general public and professionals.

This edition promises to be rich in highlights and emotions, with a schedule of 85 shows (including 23 for young audiences) and a varied program of events (conferences, master classes, round tables, visits, readings, exhibitions).

As highlighted by Jean-Luc Gagliolo, during the two weeks of the festival, there will be performances every day (and for all tastes).

A total of 23 theaters (four more than in 2016) will participate in this event, signifying a richness in this sector. For the first time, a city other than Nice will be represented: it’s Saint-Laurent du Var and its Georges Brasses Theater at Parc Layet.

Moreover, Jean-Luc Gagliolo mentioned 30 active theaters in the city.

The TNN will open this 3rd edition this Saturday with the presentation of a work carried out by Irina Brook with local stage professionals around “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.
