Since 2004, this event has returned at the onset of autumn for the duration of a long weekend.
With a thousand artists, a hundred concerts, and events, tens of thousands of spectators, music is one of the most popular arts.
The new President of the General Council, Charles-Ange Ginesy, when presenting this edition’s program, was keen to remind us: music constitutes a harmonious synthesis of moments of emotion, imagination, and happiness.
This year will be the 13th edition, under the patronage of Nigel Kennedy, the undisputed leader of this new generation of violinists who has managed to open the classical repertoire to jazz, world music, and rock. His concert with the string ensemble of the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra will take place on Friday, November 10th at 8:30 pm.
Other highlights:
Saturday 11th at 3:30 pm, Camille and Julie Berthollet in concert
Saturday 11th at 9 pm, the Cannes Orchestra will pay tribute to the American singer, rock star, Prince, who passed away a few months ago.
Sunday 12th at 2:30 pm, concert by Odino Pop Symphonic
Sunday 12th at 6:30 pm, concert by the young cellist Edgar Moreau, one of the rising stars of the music world, and the Cannes Orchestra
In conclusion, let’s give the floor to Charles-Ange Ginesy: “the identity of C’est pas classique is thus found, it is that of excellence”.
