The French Society for the Fight against AIDS is organizing its annual conference in Nice, on October 19 and 20, on the theme “Towards an AIDS-free territory”.

Almost 700 people are expected to attend.

This year, for its conference, the SFLS chose Nice, which has embarked on the ambitious project “Zero AIDS Objective: Nice and the Alpes Maritimes commit!”.

Countries, regions, and cities have embarked on projects aiming to achieve the goal set by the World Health Organization by 2020 to reach zero contamination and territories without AIDS by 2030.

The 2017 conference in Nice will be an opportunity to propose diverse therapeutic and prevention strategies, and to collectively reflect on methods of information, education, testing, and improve organizations to achieve this zero HIV contamination goal.

It will also be an occasion to welcome professionals such as epidemiologists, geographers, or health anthropologists to present research on territorial health inequalities and innovate by leveraging all knowledge in public health and the fight against HIV at a territorial level.

A round table on new forms of activism will welcome the actor from 120 Beats Per Minute, Antoine Reinartz, and Didier Lestrade, co-founder of Act Up Paris.
