The exhibition of the award winners of the Ville de Nice/Venet Foundation young creation prizes has been, for the past 8 years, an essential artistic event for the young creators trained in Nice at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Art de la Villa Arson.
It invites the public to discover the worlds, research, and works of the two artists awarded at the end of their studies.
Mathilde Dadaux operates in the field of performance and the immaterial forms of art, while Adrien Menu works with sculpture and painting.
“ET TRANSIR” is infused with Mathilde Dadaux’s desire to extend the exhibition format beyond the walls of the Galerie de la Marine, guiding the thoughts of the visitors in a broad journey over the terrace roofs of the Ponchettes.
Within the very space of the Gallery, words travel among the hollowed objects of Adrien Menu. These bodies/objects/machines are on standby, forming networks on which symptoms such as inactivity and withdrawal spread.
