On Saturday, October 21 at 2:00 PM at the Villa Masséna, the ceremony for the awarding of the Gold Medal for courage and dedication to the Civil Protection of Alpes-Maritimes will take place. This medal is awarded to all the volunteers of the Civil Protection for the courage and selflessness they demonstrated during the attack on July 14, 2016.
The Civil Protection of Alpes-Maritimes is one of the 10 institutions collectively recognized, but it was not honored during the municipal tribute on July 14 in the presence of the President of the Republic.
This is the first time in the history of the National Federation of Civil Protection that one of its departmental associations has received this high distinction.
