This Thursday at 11:30 am at the corner of Avenue Thiers and Rue Amiral de Grasse, Christian Estrosi will unveil the memorial plaque for Odette and Moussa Abadi, founders of the Réseau Marcel in 1943, which saved 527 Jewish children from deportation and death.
This commemorative ceremony echoes the conference “Words, Images, and Notes in Turmoil: Theater, Cinema, Poetry, and Music on the French Riviera between 1939 and 1945,” organized on the same day by the Association for the Memory of Jewish Children Deported from the Alpes-Maritimes, at the Mediterranean University Center.
