The famous UTMB organization is recruiting volunteers. An opportunity to experience the adventure from the inside.
Each year, UTMB organizes multiple events for extreme sports enthusiasts. Trail runners are particularly looking forward to the 4th edition of the Nice Côte d’Azur by UTMB, scheduled from September 25 to 28, 2025. To make this happen, the organization is looking for volunteers to ensure safety and the smooth running of these different races. The next stage will take place at Ventoux. For the first time, this mythical event is part of the prestigious World Series circuit. Created nearly 30 years ago and organized by Team Sports 84 for a decade, this race thus becomes the sixth French event in this international circuit.
UTMB must recruit 300 volunteers
To ensure the smooth running of this edition and the upcoming races, more than 300 volunteers are sought throughout the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. The positions offered are varied:
- Welcoming runners and their companions (handing out race numbers, information points).
- Managing refreshments.
- Course marking and unmarking.
- Logistics and technical support.
- Medical assistance with roles for doctors, nurses, or physiotherapists.
No specific profile is required. Students, working individuals, retirees, athletes, or novices are all welcome. According to the organizers, “The idea is obviously to best meet everyone’s expectations in order to offer everyone the best possible experience. Because without the unwavering support of volunteers, the Grand Raid Ventoux by UTMB adventure could not be what it is today.”
