The Nice Côte d’Azur Athletics (NCAA) learned on Friday evening about the unfavorable opinion of the national police regarding the organization of this event, scheduled for December 10th, and already canceled last year following the events of July 14, 2016.
In this context, the City of Nice has informed the members of the Organizing Committee that it would not authorize the organization of the event.
Even though they understand the legitimate position of the City of Nice, the NCAA and its Organizing Committee regret this situation, which forces them to cancel the event once again, barely a month before it was due to take place.
Hundreds of people had already registered and will, of course, be reimbursed.
The organizing club expressed its regret in a statement: “The NCAA and the members of the Organizing Committee will meet as soon as possible to consider the future of this event, which would undoubtedly have been, due to its route, one of the most beautiful urban trails in the world.”
