No time to hesitate. Diane Parry didn’t linger on the Tunisian court in Monastir. In the 1/16th finals, she faced the local player Chiraz Bechri (26 years old, ranked 1206th in the world). The match was logically wrapped up in just under an hour (6-3/6-0). The opponent of the Azuréenne player didn’t stand a chance in this one-sided encounter. This was due to a timid first serve from the Tunisian side. The French player remained focused and strong on her service games and returns.
In the second set, the result was harsh as Chiraz Bechri won only a single point on her serve and three on the serve of the player from Nice.
