This evening, OGCN handball faced the Northerners of Sambre Avesnois. A match largely dominated by the Aiglonnes, who won (25-20).

The 2024-2025 season of the Ligue Butagaz Energie begins under the best auspices for the Aiglonnes. After a positive preseason and an encouraging first game in the French Cup, the red and blacks did not falter at home. Encouraged by their fans, the girls under the new coach Sébastien Mizoule showed great focus.

Very quickly, Margot Le Blevec, Adriana Holejova, and Marie Fall led the way for their teammates. They scored nine of the first ten goals for Nice themselves, allowing their team to have a five-goal lead after 18 minutes of play. A gap that the girls from Sambre Avesnois would never manage to significantly reduce. The rest of the match was therefore relatively easy for the Aiglonnes. The new captain Marine Dupuis stepped in and finished the match with four goals, as did another Nantes recruit, Marie-Hélène Sajka. Final score (25-20).

Thanks to this good result, the Niçoises are in provisional third place in the championship, tied with Besançon. Now they will need to confirm this performance next week in Alsace. See you on Saturday, September 21, against Achenheim Truchtersheim at 8:30 PM.
