The Alpes-Maritimes Committee of the League Against Cancer is organizing a round table on the theme of “local recurrence of breast cancer.”
In collaboration with the Management in Innovative Health Chair of EDHEC Business School, the event will be held tomorrow, Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the school premises (393 Promenade des Anglais in Nice).
The session will be led by Dr. Brigitte Buttori. Several specialists will be present, including Prof. Jean-Michel Hannoun Levi, an oncologic radiotherapist at Centre Antoine Lacassagne, Dr. Kais Razzouk, an obstetrician-gynecologist, and Alexia Tosi, an onco-psychologist with the League Against Cancer. This moment will also be an opportunity to exchange with individuals affected by breast cancer or in remission. Testimonies whose awareness-raising purpose is truly meaningful.

This event is part of Pink October. The League Against Cancer continues to raise awareness about the importance of breast cancer screening. A local recurrence can be serious. This cancer affects nearly 60,000 women annually in France. With a recurrence rate of about 15% ten years after the first diagnosis, patient follow-up is crucial. Early detection remains essential in the fight against the disease.
