Nice International Half Marathon 2025: Significant Traffic Restrictions

On the occasion of the 31st edition of the International Nice Half-Marathon. It will take place this Sunday, April 27. The city of Nice announces significant traffic and parking disruptions on several major roads. Here are the main roads affected.

Traffic will be partially or completely prohibited from 4 AM. Notably on the Promenade des Anglais, which is a central axis of the course. Restrictions will extend until 4 PM for certain sectors.

Specifically affected are the north roadway of the Promenade between Avenue Max Gallo and Boulevard Gambetta, the south roadway between Rue Honoré Sauvan and Avenue Max Gallo, and the entire Quai des États-Unis, as well as Rue Saint-François-de-Paule, Avenue Max Gallo, and a portion of Boulevard Jean Jaurès.

Some roads in the city center, the port of Nice, and Old Nice will be closed to traffic between 5:30 AM and 11:15 AM. Dead ends will also be established on roads perpendicular to the main arteries, leading to partial isolation of certain neighborhoods.

Parking prohibited in wide areas

Parking, including for motorized two-wheelers, will be strictly prohibited from Saturday, April 26 at 10 PM, until the following day over a large portion of the city.

The bans affect: Quais Rauba Capeù, Lunel, de la Douane, and Papacino, Place Île de Beauté, Quais des Deux Emmanuel, and segments of Avenues Félix Faure and Max Gallo, as well as the entire Promenade des Anglais.

Public transport modified

Several bus lines will also see their routes modified, with stops relocated or removed.

The Lignes d’Azur network plans temporary adjustments. Tramway line 1 will run on a reduced schedule between Masséna and Opéra-Vieille Ville stations from 7 AM to 10 AM.
