According to a survey by Adobe Express, Nice is the city where people feel the most fulfilled in their work. This is information that the city hall did not hesitate to highlight.
Could professional fulfillment be found in Nice? Today, the question of job satisfaction is very much in the spotlight. In an era where mental health is becoming less and less taboo, it’s hard to escape the topic. All professional sectors are concerned by this issue. But are the French happy at work?
Nice, the leading city in France
The polling institute 3Gem, commissioned by Adobe Express, published a survey on the happiest job sectors in France. The results emphasize the enjoyment that the people of Nice derive from their work. Indeed, according to the survey, 63% of Nice’s residents state they are happy professionally. A high percentage that ranks Nice at the top of the list of cities in France.
A survey conducted on 2,000 French workers aged 18 and over. Both men and women working in 24 different sectors were questioned towards the end of June 2025. The mayor of the city, Christian Estrosi, expressed his enthusiasm on social media regarding this news. He mentions โa recognition for all businesses and employersโ from the Nice area.
Happy, but not all in their dream job
While the majority of people in Nice are happy at work, fewer are doing their dream job. According to the same survey, 59% of Nice’s residents have the job they always wanted to do. A slight decrease, which places the capital of the Alpes-Maritimes in fifth position among French cities.
Professional fulfillment varies depending on the work sector. Workers in the performing arts sector are the happiest, with 71% doing their ideal job. The legal sector (68%) and healthcare (66%) complete the podium.
And you, are you doing your dream job?
