The American saga, founded in 1988 by comedians Jim Abrahams, David and Jerry Zucker, has been marked by its extravagant humor and deliberate crudeness, with its sexual obsessions, flatulence jokes, scatology, and pedophilia… With Is There a Cop to Save the World, Akiva Schaffer, a former writer for the American show Saturday Night Live from 2005 to 2011, resets the counters. The director emphasizes comedy focused on viewing a gag per shot, without considering its delicacy or timeliness.

Frida Kempff, a Swedish director and screenwriter, gained attention in 2010 for her short documentary “Bathing Micky”, which won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. Frida Kempff is an original voice in Scandinavian cinema, combining feminist commitment and aesthetic elegance.
