The Pink Jog returns to the Promenade des Anglais.

Latest News

On the coming October 5th, the SOS Breast Cancer Association is organizing a new edition of the Pink Jogging. A run and a solidarity walk open to everyone, to kick off Pink October in Nice.

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, the Promenade des Anglais will once again host the Pink Jogging. This event marks the beginning of Pink October, a month dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer screening and solidarity actions for patients.

The event will start at 8:45 AM in Albert 1er Gardens, entrance at Place Massรฉna. The Pink Jogging village will offer activities, stands, and information about prevention. Before each departure, a fitness coach will lead a musical warm-up session.

Two routes are available: a 7 km run with two round trips to Magnan, and a 5 km walk that will stop at Magnan and the CUM. The race will start at 9:30 AM, and the walk at 10:15 AM. The participation fee is set at 12 euros. It will be fully donated to fund the actions of the SOS Breast Cancer Association.

The organizers emphasize that the Pink Jogging is not a competition. It is a friendly moment, without a timer, to move together and remind the importance of physical activity in the prevention and support of cancer.

A local and supportive mobilization

Created by women who have themselves experienced the illness, the SOS Breast Cancer Association has been active for over ten years in the Southern region and Corsica. It supports patients with listening, adapted physical activities, and wellness treatments. Twenty-two workshops are offered each week: yoga, Nordic walking, sophrology, reflexology, art therapy, as well as dance or archery sessions. Since 2012, over 1,200 women have benefited from this support.

Beyond support, the association conducts prevention and information actions for the general public. The Pink Jogging is one of the highlights, alongside events like the Pink Regattas or the giant Pink Yoga.

The organizers specify that registrations are done only in advance, on the association’s website. No registration will be possible on the day itself. Participants will receive a T-shirt and a snack, subject to stock availability. Collections will take place the previous week at the Nice ร‰toile shopping center.

Children under twelve can accompany adults for free. The association also encourages group registrations, whether from companies, associations, or clubs. The largest group will be highlighted at the start.

A prevention action that goes beyond sport

The aim of the Pink Jogging is to remind people of the essential prevention steps. The association emphasizes that self-examination, regular gynecologist consultations, and having a mammogram every two years after 50 are key steps for early detection.

Throughout the month of October, SOS Breast Cancer will also collect breast and hair prostheses in good condition. They will be sent to partner associations in France and abroad to meet the needs of women with cancer.

Beyond October 5th, the association continues its commitment throughout the year. Its activities aim to maintain or regain good physical and mental health, to better endure treatments and reduce the risk of recurrence.

The Pink Jogging is supported by several local partners, including the city of Nice, the Nice ร‰toile shopping center, CPAM, the Maison 123 clothing brand, and Chรฉrie FM.

By launching this new edition, SOS Breast Cancer reminds everyone of its motto: “Move and Smile!”. The message is aimed at both female and male participants. While the event highlights the fight against female cancers, it also invites families, friends, and colleagues to unite around a common cause.

The Pink Jogging is a simple invitation: walk or run by the sea, share a collective moment, and tangibly support those facing the illness.

Join us on Sunday, October 5th, starting at 8:45 AM in the Albert 1er Gardens. Race start at 9:30 AM, walk start at 10:15 AM. Registrations and information on www.soscancerdusein.org
