rockit-2.jpg A look back at the event with Eric Fournier, former founding President of Phosphène and, today, volunteer working on the coordination of the event. So Eric, ready?

Nice Premium: Eric, in Juan, when Electro is there, does jazz go away?

Eric Fournier: It’s a bit like that even though I believe the 2 styles complement each other and respond to each other quite well… With the reggae also offered at the Pinède in Juan les Pins and among other prestigious concerts, electronic music certainly has its place in the heart of this sublime site, full of history.

Nice Premium: How does this 2011 edition look?

EF: Very well, very well… the desire is definitely there… the associations are wound up like clockwork and can’t wait to meet again in the euphoria of the concerts especially since the lineup offered is more than motivating 🙂

Nice Premium: High-level entertainment on the Antibes stage this year?

EF: The lineup is of very high quality and we owe it to the collaboration of our partners Savoir Faire, Gigs and We Love Art. It covers the major current trends in electronic music and offers truly the cream of electro and techno: Richie Hawtin, Mr Oizo, the Bloody Beetroots, Loco Dice, Dubfire, The Subs, Breakbot… frankly stunning… no?

Nice Premium: What do you hope for from this festival?

EF: The synergy between the artists, the public and the organizers… in a place that deserves it.

Nice Premium: Other projects for the Phosphène association in the future?

EF: With our colleagues from Fish My Kiss and Quoth Eventz, we will again offer Odysseus electronic evenings at the Palm Beach in Cannes (Appointment set for October 15th), but also the 5th edition of the DBTH Festival in Valbonne next April and perhaps even an open-air version of it; and of course the 2nd edition of Rock It Juan.

Nice Premium: Finally, what to wish you for Saturday’s opening?

EF: Favorable weather and cold beer… we’re confident about both… LOL
