Highway A8: several night closures are planned on the A8 starting this Monday, October 26

From the night of Monday, October 26 through Friday, October 30 in the morning, the Nice-East/Nice-Centre exit No. 55 on the A8 motorway will be closed in the direction of Italy, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Work on a slope is planned. Several other interchanges in the Alpes-Maritimes will also be affected by overnight closures this week.

Motorists will need to adjust their travel on the A8 motorway in the Alpes-Maritimes from Monday evening. From October 26 to 30, VINCI Autoroutes plans several maintenance and upkeep operations on the interchanges at Mandelieu East, Antibes, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Nice East and Menton. The work will be carried out at night to minimize disruption for users, with schedules between 8:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. depending on the areas.

In Nice, exit No. 55, which serves Nice-East and Nice-Centre, will be closed in the direction of Italy for four consecutive nights, from Monday, October 26 to Friday, October 30, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. at the latest. This closure is due to work on a slope.

Drivers of light vehicles will be able to exit the motorway earlier at Nice-North, at interchange No. 54. Heavy vehicles will need to continue their journey to La Turbie, at interchange No. 57, then make a U-turn to get back on the A8 heading toward Aix-en-Provence before reaching the Nice-East exit.

Several A8 interchanges affected by overnight closures

Other traffic restrictions are planned on the A8 motorway from Monday, October 26 in the evening.

In Menton, the entry and exit ramps of interchange No. 59 will be closed for two nights, from Monday, October 26 to Wednesday, October 28, from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Users will be able to use the Roquebrune-Cap-Martin exit, at interchange No. 58. Another option will be to enter the A8 heading toward Aix-en-Provence from Menton, then make a U-turn at Roquebrune-Cap-Martin to get back on the motorway toward Italy.

In Mandelieu East and Cannes-La Bocca, the entry and exit ramps of interchange No. 41 will be closed on the night of Monday, October 26, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., in the direction of Aix-en-Provence. Motorists will be able to use the Mandelieu exit, number 40. Heavy vehicles will need to go through the Mougins interchange, number 42.

In Cagnes-sur-Mer, the entry ramps toward Italy and exit ramps toward Aix-en-Provence will be closed on the night of Tuesday, October 27, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Drivers will be able to use Villeneuve-Loubet interchange, number 47, to bypass the restrictions.

Finally, in Antibes, the exit ramp of interchange No. 44 will be closed on the night of Thursday, October 29, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. A detour will allow motorists to exit at Villeneuve-Loubet Plage, at interchange No. 46.

Another restriction is planned in Nice-East on the night of Thursday, October 29. The entry ramp will be closed in the direction of Aix-en-Provence only.

Users planning to use the A8 motorway in the Alpes-Maritimes this week will need to anticipate these overnight closures and take into account the alternative routes provided by VINCI Autoroutes.
