Challenge met for the first Health, Prevention, and Wellness day organized by the CPAM of Alpes-Maritimes and the Health Department of the City of Nice. The program included a giant pink yoga session, numerous activities, information stands, and an audience under the Nice sun.
Place Pierre Gautier was colored in a striking pink within minutes, amidst the old stones of its buildings. The association “SOS Breast Cancer” kicked off the day by organizing a giant Pink Yoga session with 185 women and men who came to participate in the event and thereby support the Nice-based association.
The official opening of the event followed, attended by Olivier Guérin, Deputy Mayor of Nice in charge of health, and Guy Plattet, General Director of CPAM06. Numerous stands were present offering valuable advice to ensure good prevention against daily risks such as nutrition, sun exposure, or diabetes.
Life-saving gestures were also highlighted, with the services of Croix Blanche training the public in first aid techniques. On the side of the city of Nice, Vaccination with the Vacci’Nice operation and free workshops offered to Nice seniors were emphasized. To move better, a Fit Gym session was organized with the support of the “As de coeur” association, dear to Odile Diagana.
The afternoon was marked by scorching sun and the start of a Nordic walking tour towards the Promenade du Paillon, as well as a cooking workshop led by Franck Viano, winner of “An Almost Perfect Dinner” and an ardent defender of Niçoise cuisine.
