The new cultural season in Cannes promises to be breathtaking. Going out in Cannes will no longer be a dream but a reality.

Cannes will become the dance capital from November 19 to 24, 2013, hosting contemporary choreographers from around the world. Jonah Bokaer, coming straight from the United States, will present “Sequel”, a choreographic work and a mix of multimedia creation. Portuguese dancer Victor Hugo Pontes will also be part of the “Dance Festival” lineup. He will honor “A ballet story”, a performance hovering between classical dance and music.

Dance here will have all its importance and splendor. As a true living art, it will amaze many. Some unique performances will further enchant the “Dance Festival”.

Theater is not forgotten, it will have its place in this unique cultural season. “Embrassons-nous Folleville” by Eugรจne Labiche, featuring Romane Bohringer, will take us back to mid-19th century France. The cultural season will offer its share of numerous and varied concerts. Singer Etienne Daho will perform his most beautiful songs, and artists Olivia Ruiz and Vanessa Paradis will be on stage at the Palais des Festivals.

David Lisnard, deputy mayor of Cannes, states: “Cannes is a global village, we are witnessing a quintessence of art,” adding, “40,000 spectators are expected for this new cultural edition.”
